Vow Bridal Fashion Shoot
This had all elements for a bewitching fashion shoot: stunning dresses supplied by one of my favorite bridal boutiques, Vow Bridal, an ancient building with some of the finest examples of medieval wall painting in Europe – and a Ferrari! It was an early start as we only had limited time to use the building, so as soon as we arrived we set to work lighting the shots needed to bring the building and dresses to life. The work of award-winning designers like Natalie Gladman of Madeline Isaac-James, Annabel Jenkins and rising star Sanyukta Shrestha, the dresses were the stars, and like any good wedding gown should they command the attention. It’s easy for such a striking a venue – with its coarse stone textures, evocative murals and grand proportions – to overwhelm the slight bridal figure. But it’s cast as a viruoso supporting player with the right composition, lighting and posture. It remained only to take the opportunity of the strident red sports car, ending the shoot on a wonderfully contasting note – the ancient and modern combining in a vision of timeless elegance of which any bride would be proud.
