Bridal Fashion Shoot | Stapleford Park

For this bridal fashion photography assignment we choose Stapleford Park as the venue, and with the help of Vow bridal’s stunning collection of wedding dresses we had a ball trying out a number of new photography styles and compositions to add to our bridal repertoire. Well known for her use of environmentally friendly materials, Sanyukta Shrestha’s dress ‘Esther’ is made from bamboo and silks and was complemented by a cathedral veil.

Our model Claire and partner Danny looked magnificent framed by the main staircase and we choose several different angles to capture the scene. The window shot was next – the dress ‘May’ by Madeline Issac-James inspired by 18th century design – and Claire looked fantastic in the light that streamed in on even this rather showery day. Using a reflector in combination with the natural light ensured the dress’s detail popped and the luxurious textures of the silk was accentuated as light tripped across its folds.

For the final photography we set up a Hollywood lighting design to go with the vintage-inspired dress ‘Aislinn’ (again by Madeline Issac-Jones), shooting by the piano and in the billiard room to closed the day’s photography in dramtic fin de siècle mood.
